I've never lived in Sinaloa. When i was a child i visited my grandma and Nana, spent a few weeks playing with my cousins and that was it. But, here's the thing: i grew up in Sinaloa. My mother has lived in Mexicali for 30 years and yet she never completly lost her accent. She cooked HER food, she spoke with HER words, in HER way. She never left, so i grew up there.
I spent and hour trying to remember all the expressions i've ever heard from her family and my friends. I wrote down 60. Those are some of the usual. Last week she came up with one i'd never heard and i cannot remember it anymore. Gotta ask. Well... it's late... i think it's an hour later now... gotta get some sleep.
